Filed reports
Filed reports is the ledger at the bottom of the Birth Registry’s Reports tab — your practice’s submission history, one row per report you have filed, kept per year, for good. It is distinct from Recent exports on the same page, which is per person, shows only your last ten, and expires: a report you filed in one year is still on the ledger years later.
Before your first filing the ledger shows one greyed Not yet filed row per report kind you can still file, with a Generate link up to the report it belongs to, so you can see what the archive will hold. A retired kind (the MANA research cohort, since MANA Stats dissolved) is not offered here; it appears only once a historic filing for it exists.
Everyone in the practice can read Filed reports — it is your own history and carries no patient data. Regenerating a copy needs the manage-records role (Admin / Provider) and the same entitlement that generated it.
What a filing records
Section titled “What a filing records”Each row keeps, for a submission:
- The report (ACNM Benchmarking, CABC indicators, a state per-course filing, or the retired MANA cohort on historic rows) and the reporting year.
- When it was filed and by whom.
- A contact and consent snapshot — for the ACNM Benchmarking Project, the contact person and permission answers recorded with that year’s submission — frozen as name and email so the record reads on its own later.
View and re-download
Section titled “View and re-download”- View re-renders the filing’s detail from the record, so it works even after the generated file has expired and been pruned.
- Re-download regenerates a fresh copy from the filing’s own report window and options; the new copy appears under Exports → Recent exports to download, just like a first generation.
- A retired report kind (the MANA research cohort) is View only — its historic filings stay readable, but it can no longer be re-downloaded.
Filing a report
Section titled “Filing a report”Filings are created on the same Reports tab: generate the report, download the copy you submit, then select Mark as filed next to it under Recent exports. Re-filing a year supersedes the prior entry while keeping it in history, so the ledger always shows the current submission without losing the trail.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”The ACNM Benchmarking Project submission window runs January 1 – March 31. During it, a dashboard reminder appears for any practice with completed courses in the prior year that has not yet filed for it, and disappears once you have.
