Statistics

The Statistics page is where you build your own views of your practice’s data, rather than reading the fixed summaries on the Dashboard. As on the rest of analytics, only completed births count.

Picking what to measure

Above the views, a shared picker chooses what every tab measures — the variable to chart, the cohort scope, and the data type. The picker is the single source of selection for every tab, so switching tabs keeps your choices.

The data type decides which entity you’re counting:

Patient
Pregnancy
Baby
Birth
Procedures

Choosing Procedures counts off your practice’s own procedure records by the provider who performed them.

From and To pick the months to cover; the explorer opens on the last 12 months the first time you use it. Counted births only (on by default) makes a month count only births with a recorded, in-range value for the chosen variable, which drops the N/A series from the time series.

Saved filters and your last selection

The explorer reopens with the picker choices and tab you last used. To keep a selection you come back to, choose Save as filter… under the picker; it joins the Filters chip row, where one click applies it again — privately, or shared with the practice. Statistics has no starters, and its chips carry no record count. Saving, sharing, renaming and the Changed since hint work exactly as they do on the lists — see Filters & selections.

The three views

A segmented control switches between three views, all driven by the picker above it:

Time series — a variable tracked over time.
Distribution — how records break down across the values of a variable, with small buckets suppressed to protect privacy.
Comparison — set a left and a right cohort and compare them side by side. This is how you compare providers within your practice, rather than a single “all providers” caseload view.

Each view has a toolbar band across the top of its chart. On the right, Copy chart as image copies a picture of the chart to your clipboard (or downloads it, where your browser can’t copy images), and Print chart opens a print sheet of the current selection in a new tab. On Distribution the band also holds the chart’s own controls:

Graph type — Pie or Bar.
Remove N/A — drop the bucket of records with no value (or an out-of-range one).
Labels — write each slice’s or bar’s value on the chart.
Percentage of — All records (N/A included in the total) or Recorded values (only records that carry a value).

Birth count

Stats → Birth count is the per-midwife counts table: one row per provider and an Entire Practice row, with Total Births, This Year, This Month and Last Birth Number. Its periods are fixed, so it has no picker — it is its own page rather than a fourth view of the explorer.
